Director Raaj Shaandilyaa Apologizes for Unauthorized Use of ‘Stree’ Elements in His Film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video

In a recent turn of events, director Raaj Shaandilyaa has issued a formal apology on behalf of himself and the producers of his upcoming film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which includes Super Cassettes Industries Pvt. Ltd., Balaji Motion Pictures, and Wakaoo Films. The apology is directed at Maddock Films for the unauthorized use of characters and dialogues from their successful franchise Stree.

Shaandilyaa expressed regret for the unintentional infringement and assured that immediate corrective action is being taken to remove the infringing content. The process of rectification is expected to be completed by Tuesday, 15th October 2024, ensuring that all references to Stree will be fully removed to Maddock Films’ satisfaction.

In his statement, Shaandilyaa emphasized, “We deeply regret any harm caused to Maddock Films and their franchise as a result of this infringement. We are in the process of removing all infringing content from our film, and we commit to ensuring that no such unauthorized usage will occur in the future.”

Additionally, Shaandilyaa clarified that Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is not associated with Maddock Films or their Stree and Stree 2 franchises in any way, and confirmed that his team makes no claims to any intellectual property rights related to Stree or its characters.

This public apology comes as the film industry continues to pay close attention to intellectual property rights, particularly when it comes to well-established franchises like Stree, which has garnered a significant fan following. With the commitment to rectify the issue, Shaandilyaa and his team aim to ensure a smooth resolution while maintaining the integrity of both films.
