Samikssha Bhatnagar Plays Pivotal Role of Siddhi Maa in ‘Shree Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj’ Biopic, Releasing May 29

Mumbai: The much-awaited spiritual biopic Shree Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj, starring Subodh Bhave as Neem Karoli Baba, is finally set to hit theatres on May 29 after clearing all censor formalities following legal delays and a Bombay High Court intervention.

Samikssha Bhatnagar (also spelled Samiksha Bhatnagar) is playing the female lead as Siddhi Maa, one of Neem Karoli Baba’s closest and most spiritually evolved disciples. Her portrayal is being highlighted as a key emotional and spiritual anchor of the film.

Siddhi Maa was deeply revered by Baba, who often recited special verses praising her devotion. After Baba’s passing in 1973, she became a guiding figure for many devotees, quietly continuing his teachings of love, seva (selfless service), devotion, and remembrance of God. Many followers regarded her as the continuation of Baba’s divine work.

Samikssha Bhatnagar, an award-winning actress known for her versatility, expressed deep emotional connection with the role. She said, “I feel truly blessed to portray Siddhi Maa in Shree Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj. This journey has been far more than just acting — it touched my soul.”

Born on 12 January 1988 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, Samikssha Bhatnagar is a multi-talented Indian actress, classical dancer, singer, and performer. She began her career in television with popular shows on Star Plus and Zee TV, including notable roles in Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera, Uttaran, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, Baal Veer, and Kumkum Bhagya.

She made her Bollywood debut with a cameo in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Calendar Girls (2015) and secured her first major lead role opposite Bobby Deol in Shreyas Talpade’s Poster Boys (2017). Known for her graceful screen presence and ability to portray emotionally intense characters, Samikssha brings a rare blend of spiritual depth and acting sincerity to the role of Siddhi Maa.

The film also stars Hiten Tejwani, Hemant Pandey, and Aniruddh Dave in key roles. It is directed by Sharad Singh Thakur and produced by Balram Garg, Balvir Singh, Sharad Singh Thakur, Khadag Singh Gaur, and Neelam Singh under Anisha Films International in association with PC Jeweller and BSR Film Productions.
