Atrangii App and TV, helmed by Vibhu Agarwal announces its new show ‘Johri’ starring Charu Asopa and Nishant Malkani, which goes on floor on 13th December 2022. Atrangii has teamed up with ace content production house Endemol Shine India to churn out a cutting edge thriller at the backdrop of a bank fraud . Johri will be helmed by the acclaimed director Partho Mitra.
‘Johri’ is a saga of an ordinary man becoming a diamond mogul, it is a tale of bank scams, frauds and glamour at its finest. The series captures one man’s ambition, his greed, his manipulations of the system, his plush lifestyle and lavishness of his business, his rise and equally dramatic fall.
Speaking on the commencement of its shoot, Vibhu Agarwal – Founder & CEO, Atrangii shared, “ Atrangii was launched with the promise of quality content with known production houses and acclaimed actors. This is a step towards that. We are delighted to team up with Endemol Shine India. Their expertise in creating slick, captivating concepts will definitely make Johri one of the finest bank scam thrillers to watch out for”.
Speaking about her role in the series, an excited Charu Asopa shared, “I am extremely excited to start shooting for ‘Johri’ as it is the first time I will be seen in a completely new avatar of an urban city girl who is very ambitious and career oriented. I have always played roles of a simple and family oriented girl. So this is an experiment and a challenge for me as well. This series showcases a journey of my character from 20 year girl to a mother and how she faces many obstacles in her life. It is a great honour to be directed by Partho sir and to be working with Atrangii. I am sure we will be able to present to the viewers some thing interesting”.
