JioCinema, India’s premier digital entertainment platform, has announced the appointment of Ishan Chatterjee as Chief Business Officer. This strategic move underscores JioCinema’s commitment to accelerating its transformation into a tech-enabled company, aimed at delivering innovative and seamless digital experiences to its rapidly growing user base.
In his new role, Ishan will oversee the overall monetisation strategy for JioCinema, focusing on revenue generation from sports and driving growth in small and medium-sized business (SMB) revenues across both sports and entertainment sectors.
Ishan joins JioCinema from YouTube India, where he served as Managing Director and was instrumental in shaping the platform’s strategic direction and growth in the country. With over two decades of diverse experience, including 13 years at Google, he has also held significant roles at McKinsey and Hindustan Unilever. Ishan is an alumnus of The Wharton School and St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
As a key member of JioCinema’s leadership team, Ishan will collaborate closely with Kiran Mani to further the platform’s ambitious goals in the dynamic digital entertainment landscape.
